Oklahoma - Basketball superstar Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been successfully operated on for his fracture on his right foot.

This was announced by the club from the North American professional league NBA. The situation should be re-evaluated after six weeks. The 26-year-old Olympic champion and most valuable player of the NBA last season had complained after training last Saturday of pain.

The downtime in case of injury, called a Jones fracture, usually is six to eight weeks, the Thunder had communicated without this concrete in this case. It is the first serious injury of his career in Durant.
