Max is a hit

Yuba City High catcher Max Stassi went 1-for-2 with a double and scored a run, but the West lost to the East, 4-2, in the Aflac All-American High School Baseball Game played Saturday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Stassi started and played four innings.

The West took a 2-0 lead into the top of the ninth.

"It was a week these boys will never forget," Max's father, Jim, said. "This is as close to the big leagues these boys will ever be unless they actually make it. They were treated like royalty all week long."
