Baseball, softball clinics offered

The following baseball and softball clinics are being offered:

• BASEBALL

Winter camp at Yuba City High

Yuba City High baseball coach Jim Stassi and Scott Golby, the director of scouting on the West Coast for the Florida Marlins, will be instructors at the annual Professional Concepts Winter Baseball Camp being held at Yuba City High Saturday and Sunday.

Camp is open to players ages 8 to 15. The cost is $90 to pre-register.

Prep, technique course scheduled

Thompson & Rodrigues Physical Therapy is holding a free clinic for coaches, pitchers and parents on the proper preparation and techniques needed for a healthy shoulder and arm.

The class will be held Jan. 18, 6 p.m., at 420 B St., in Yuba City. To reserve a spot, call 674-8850.

• SOFTBALL

Coaches clinic in Chico

Michael Bastian, the Chinese National team coach and former coach on the USA Olympic team, as well as Chico State coach Jamie Brown, Lassen coach Glenn Yonan and Debbie Nelson, the head instructor at All American Sports Academy, will be the instructors at the Chico Starz Coaches Clinic on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Starz' indoor facility.
